The GHOST RIDERS are a National Square Dance Band. The opportunities that we have had are as follows: A European Tour to Poland, two square-dance cruises (Mexican Rivera and Caribbean), State Fairs, an H.B.O. Movie special called Barbarians at the gate (starring James Garner), live recorded square-dance CDs with Deborah Carroll-Jones and Dan Nordbye, ten Nationals Conventions and right now we are talking to the future National Chairpersons for the upcoming National Conventions.

Bear "Mercury" Miller
Bear and his wife Sandy (also know as Bear Control) are natives of Denver Colorado. He is the club caller for four clubs. Joined CALLERLAB in 1991. Has conducted over 95 Mainstream classes, 45+ Plus classes and a few Advanced. He is an Accredited Caller Coach and member of the Board of Governor's. The dancers enjoyment and success is always what's most important to him.
Charlie "Apollo" Robertson
Charlie began his calling career at the ripe old age of 12 in Southern California. He mentioned to his mother that he wanted to learn how to call. Charlie’s mom contacted a local square dance caller and arranged lessons. Square dancing and square dance calling soon became a huge part of Charlie’s life. During his calling career Charlie has been privileged to travel the world calling dances. Charlie enjoys calling all levels from Basic through C2. He is known for his energetic style and creative choreography. Charlie has been a featured recording artist on several square dance record labels, for Lou-Mac Records, he recorded several songs that he is very proud of including the first and only true “Square Dance Rap” song.

Justin "Gemini" Russell
Justin Russell has been in the square dance activity since 2000. He took lessons with his grandmother, mom, dad, and brother and finished learning the mainstream program in 2001. Friends from church got him to come to that first beginner dance, but no one knew it would become his passion. In June 2003, he attended his first Caller School in Tyler, TX. Justin’s goal is to blend the tradition of square dancing with the twenty-first century. He graduated from the University of Memphis in May 2011 with a degree in political science with a minor in Sociology. Justin currently works full-time for Orion Federal Credit Union and travels whenever possible.
Mitchell & Chelsea Thompson
Mitchell Thompson comes from a family with an extensive background in square dancing, so it was only natural for him to get involved. He did so by learning to square dance and joining the Rocky Mountain Dancers performance group at the young age of 13. He enjoyed squares, but it wasn’t long before he discovered that his real passion was for rounds. Under the tutelage of John Herr, he learned to cue. Two short years later, in 2005, he became a member of Roundalab and started both cueing dances and teaching round dance classes. He loved it and has been doing it ever since. In a short time he became one of the prominent cuers in the Denver area. He now cues for over 10 clubs across Colorado and teaches both group and private lessons on a regular basis. He teaches all levels of round dance, but particularly enjoys teaching beginning rounds because he loves being able to bring new people into such a great activity. He has also choreographed several dances and taught his own choreography at both state and national conventions. He met his dance partner, Chelsea, at his first national convention: Denver, CO 2004. In 2013, they started teaching together and really bonded over their passion for dance. They were married in November of 2017. They dance phase II-VI and have recently gotten involved in social ballroom dancing. They look forward to seeing you on the dance floor!

Dance Floor
Dancers covet cushioned floors because multi-layered wood provides a cushioned surface, much easier on knee and ankle joints than other surfaces.
Since 1995, volunteers from the Boulder dance community have poured hundreds of hours into laying the wood floors in the Ballroom, Sodal Hall, the Tango Studio and, most recently, the Ballroom stage.
